Dissertation Title: Synthesis of N-doped CNTs and single layer graphene for application in flexible photovoltaic devices
Summary of Dissertation Topic:
N-CNTs, single layer graphene and doped grapheme will be synthesized using the CVD method, and characterized by TEM, SEM, AFM, Optical microscopy, Raman spectroscopy and XPS. Thin films of N-CNTs will fabricated and nano electro, opto- and mechanical measurements will be taken. Graphene will transferred to different substrates so as to determine charge carrier mobility and transparency. Photovoltaic devices incorporating N-CNTs will also be fabricated and characterized. It is intended that N-CNTs and graphene be incorporated in a single photovoltaic device so as to take advantage of the good electronic properties and well as the strength of these materials.
