OFET 2012:

An International Symposium on Fundamental Electronic Processes in Organic Semiconductors and Functional Interfaces

October 27-31, 2012

The OFET symposium series started in Leiden, The Netherlands, in 2003, after the successful demonstrations of the first organic field-effect transistors based on molecular single crystals. This development has initiated an ever growing activity with the purpose to explore fundamental limitations and intrinsic electronic properties of organic semiconductors by using single-crystal OFETs and other highly-ordered devices as experimental platforms and model devices. The emphasis of the symposium is on establishing a fundamental understanding of electronic processes in organic semiconductors (e.g. transport) in connection with chemistry, device physics, and designing novel functional interfaces.

Since 2003, this Symposium has become a tradition:  it takes place every other year, rotating between the Europe, the US, and Asia. The presentations are by invitation only with the goal of fostering communication between the participants. The meeting is to be held in a highly interactive style, with a large fraction of time devoted to discussion.
